Friday harbor sheeps

Hit some pilings in the harbor Friday on the falling tide. Prospected for flounder that are usually around waiting on the tide but water was really dirty so no takers. Started beating those pilings and the bit was pretty steady. Ended with a bakers dozen or so and kept the 2 better ones. Average size is down so far in this area from years past. One interesting thing was I had a subtle bit that I didn’t set the hook on and when I went to repait I notice my hook was bent nearly closed. The sheep must have bitten and crushed both crab and hook. Didnt snap a pic but it was pretty impressive!

Saweet day! I haven’t been lately, I find flounder fishing more challenging than the sheeps. So I have changed my pursuits this year. Sad thing about the flounder is the only keepers are female. I think they need to change the limit law on the flatty to give them more opportunity to reproduce.

I may not be a smart man, but I know what fishing is.
