Decided to take my first fishing trip this year. Took the day off and hit Folly around 10 am on the outgoing. First tried with some top water and Gulp at a pretty well known and generally productive spot. Nothing.
Decided to putter around to Crosby’s and grab some mud minnows. I would have to say it is probably the first time using live bait in almost two years. It paid off. Picked up three reds at the last few minutes of the outgoing. Had a hour or so lull, and then caught 5 or 6 more on the incoming. I think all but one was in the slot. Brought two home for me and the lady for dinner. Got very wet on the ride in.

Narcosis
Three (3) on the "out" and 5 (or so) on the "in". Plus you said you brought fish home for dinner and had a nasty ride back to the hill. Good trip. Great report.
the menhaden have started showing up, I work on the water and have seen them flipping, pelicans diving on them, and looked at very large schools on my fish finder
