Friday Inshore

Started out at the Grillage - bunch of boats out there most looked like they were catching pretty consistently. Not sure why, but we weren’t, couple undersides BSB’s, some whiting, nothing exciting - until I had something spool all the line off my TLD 25, in about 1 minute… Not sure what it was - I have caught some big fish with those rods and reels and never seen it bend over like that, and I have never seen anything rip through that drag like that… Wish I got a peek at what it was!

Anyway from there we decides to go look for something to put on the table. Went up the cooper need the dock to a hole I know, landed about 15 trout (I lost count) average size about 13 inches, but did manage 1 keeper 17 inch. Also kept a nice 22’ red… Dead cell battery so no pictures though :-(… Maybe i’ll update this tomorrow with pictures of dinner

Sounds like you may have found a bull shark or similar toothy critter.

Sounds like the inshore was a blast though!

“Sire, it belongs in truth to the Church of God, in whose name I speak, to endure blows and not to inflict them. But it will also please your Majesty to remember that she is an anvil that has worn out many hammers.”…Theodore Beza

I don’t care so much about something getting away as long as you get to see it first! That’s great.

Matt, sounds like my offshore adventures where my poles bend over and the line starts going out. But I usually see mine unless the rig breaks or they manage to spit the hook.
