Friday Nite Report

Decided to give it a try taking our new puppy out for his first time on the boat. Was a little worried about him getting excited and running around, but he quickly decided to chill and enjoy the ride.

Wasn’t long and we got our first fish.

Took a few hours to get 5 after some misses and lost fish. They weren’t the skinny snakes like you expect in mid August, but definitely stressed some and it shows when they hit/fight. All were legit keepers and had empty stomachs, but looked incredibly healthy for this time of year. Had 1 filled with eggs I thought was odd.

All were caught trolling at about 50’-55’ in anywhere from 70’ to 140’ fow.

Sounds like a great evening. The new pup looks like he is fitting right in on the boat.

Joby

Nice job Tim. Nice looking fish & pup. I’m going to try it in the morning with down rods.

I was worried about my dog being the same way the 1st. time I took him out. But after a bit, he was enjoying the ride. Now he goes with me every time.

Thinking about going tomorrow morning. Where should I start on a hump around 80 is where I was think any suggestions? Thanks

Nice fish Tim and a good screen shot! Might have to get my down riggers out of storage, but then again I’m too much of a live bait and spoon man… Nice job!!
