We went fishing yesterday to THE SPOT that has produced all year for us, with trip producing 60 fish! Incoming tide, slight west wind, in between fronts, and every live bait except shrimp. Not one fish in the boat and only two, maybe three bites. I really felt bad for my wife as she wasn’t feeling that good and I begged her to go. It was a cold ride but warmed up quickly when sitting still. We also tried a variety of artificials and was using popping corks and fishing on the bottom. We have not been skunked in over three years and yesterday was a real bummer. Any ideas, theories, or suggestions? Thanks, Mike.

From the looks of it, the bigger redfish schools seen to have lockjaw. I’ll wait until it gets cold again for them to start eating again

Worst week of fishing I have had this time of year. Big tides, cold wind, dirty water, cold temps…we caught some yesterday in one spot on bait. Been so tough this week I am sitting at the house trying to convince myself to go. Problem is I don’t know where to go that I have not already tried this week. Fishing should improve now that tides and wind are calming, IMHO.

Took the kids to D.I. Pier today and the water was clear. The small 11-13" trout were biting artificials.

I forgot to mention that water was clear to about two feet as well. One interesting thing we did see was a couple of dolphins “getting frisky”, if you catch my drift. Had never seen that before.[:0][:I]

We saw two sets of dolphins doing the same yesterday in the Cooper. At first I thought they were jumping a school of fish or something but after watching for a minute we realized it was dolphin porn.
