This saturday, August 5, me and my dad are going down to fripp island for a week. We are staying in a house that has a boat dock on the little creek in the middle of the island. We are taking our 21 foot boston whaler. We are fairly new to saltwater fishing and have been unsuccessful on about half of our trips. Any tips for the area or spots to fish would be very helpful. Also if anyone in the area wants to go out with us and help us out just let me know. Thanks.
Fresh bait fresh bait fresh bait, when starting in saltwater. It drastically increases your chances.
Look for Oyster rakes leading down into about a foot to 3’ of water and use a popping cork or use a carolina rig with a weight near structure (docks) etc, you will catch something.
Look at where Jesus went to pick people. He didn’t go to the colleges; he got guys off the fishing docks.
Do a Search on this forum for Fripp Island on, there are many many posts and much advice.
