From a kayak

I was hoping to do some fishing in lake Moultrie, preferably from my kayak. Where should I start? I was thinking about the north end. I’ve never fished this area before so I don’t know where I could launch, or if there are even spots near a launch. Any advice is appreciated.

Anything that pulls drag, right?

If you want to fish the northern end you can put in at Angels, Russelville, or a couple different landings in Bonneau.

You can launch a Yak in the Old Santee Canal. Take highway 45 to Sandy Beach Road ( Pineville ) follow Sandy Beach road across R&R track, turn to the right where the road splits, follow that dirt two track road to the end. Launch near the train bridge, go left. This will bring you to the north end of Angels cove. I launch a Canoe there easily.
