had the boat out today an was running fine all of a sudden it
seem to bogg down an shut off but cranked right back up but
only would go 3-5 mph. wide open. ever once in a while it would take off
but slow right back down. any thought before I start replacing parts.
Sounds like a fuel issue. Check filters, hoses, vent, etc. Fuel with ethanol should be avoided.

plan on changing all filters an just replace fuel lines last yr.
where is the vent you are talking about ??
The vent would be on tank if it is portable, usually on cap. If the tank is stationary it would be on the side of the vessel near the fuel fill cap. Dirt daubers can stop it up.

Clean your carbs and bowls (if you have them). If your fuel delivery is good check your compression. If that checks out, check your coil packs and stater. Hope that helps, good luck!
