Does anyone know where the water drains to out of the front fishbox (in floor) on a 27 ft gamefish 2015? I washed out the fish box while sitting in dry stack and noticed there was no water coming out any drain on the side of the boat. I then sat with the hose and ran it wide open in the drain and still no water anywhere. Checked the bilge and it was dry. Ran the macerator (never used the head so no waste) and open the handle which produced a small amount of water from the bowl but no 10 gallons that I had just ran in the fish box. All I can think is that while sitting up on dry stack the water is accumulating in the drain line but not gettting to where it is ultimately eliminated. I was told it goes out the Bilge but I can’t believe that would be a good design because of clogs, waste etc…
Most boats that size have the boxes that are the forward seats drain overboard, you can see these drains easily on the side of the boat. The deck box usually drains into the bilge. That is reason enough to keep the fish in the side boxes and clean ice in the deck box.

The chrome scupper facing aft is the drain for side fish box (bench seating). Yours should be in a similar location. The deck box almost always drains through the bilge so if you use it for fish storage, puked up bait, blood and other fish nasty will be all in your bilge making it more gross than normal.

Thank you. I thought that would be an odd design to have anything intentionally draining into the bilge. Im glad I haven’t used it to store anything but drinks.
