They all work. Some work better than others depending on your dog. For example, my parents used frontline on their dogs and never had fleas or ticks, so I used frontline on my boykin and he kept getting fleas. The vet told me to try applying every 3 weeks… still had fleas. I switched to k9 Advantix and haven’t seen a flea since. Similarly, my buddy kept giving his dog k9advantix and could not get rid of the fleas, switched to Frontline and no fleas since. If one doesnt work try something different
I use Revolution on my wiener dogs, for heartworm & flea protection, and have yet to find any fleas on them. I know there are fleas around because my wife attracts anything that bites, fleas, mosquitos, you name it. They don’t seem to bother me as much. I think it’s because I eat a lot of hot peppers and garlic.

I use triflexis, it’s the oral tablet and it includes heartworm. Little more expensive but in my opinion totally worth it.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

We use Capstar tablets (nitenpyram) with good results. But willing to try new stuff. Where do you find Triflexis?
On a similar subject, Hailey, every year, scratches all summer long.(NO FLEAS) We’ve tried all types of shampoos with no relief for her. Anyone have a dry skin remedy for your dog?
I use Sentry FiproGuard. Same active ingredient as Frontline for alot less. Works good on both my pups…
