Just wondering if they really work as advertised? I use stabil most of the time.
Anyone care to elaborate on this. I would rather use ut and not need it. Well you get the picture.
Bottom line are they really just snake oil?

I’m using Startron Stablizer plus Ethanol treatment in every tankfull. We spent over $500.00 repairing ethanol damage from one tank of ethanol that I didn’t know had ethanol in it. I didn’t buy the gas and the boat sat about a month due to family illness. Ever since then I have used Startron just in case I accidently get Ethanol again. So far the motor now runs smooth as silk in my opinion they work well, or atleast Startron does for me. I’ve also heard that the different stabilizers should not be mixed because they may gel.
I use stabil in the boat and always have so I can’t compare to not using. I put some in my atv earlier this year and could tell a significant difference vs not using it. It starts up much easier with older gas in it.

IMO, its more of a preference from everything I have seen posted. I have always used Staybil in my gas can for the lawnmowers/weed eaters because I only use ethonol free gas in those. For the boat, I use regular pump gas and startron. I feel the startron works better with the ethonol, but that is just my opinion. There are so many different opinions out there, its hard to know who is right or wrong because even all of the additive brands saay theirs works best, so who knows…
