Fuel Hose Rec's

I was replacing my racor filter and water separator as well as on engine fuel filter this past weekend and noticed some black compound at the bottom of the bowl of the on engine filter. Looks like the hoses are starting to degrade. How often is it recommended to change the lines? I try to stay away from ethanol, but it does not always happen. Any recs on the brand/type of line I should replace with and the min length I should order to be on the safe side (boat is 20 ft). Should I just replace on the motor or everything from the tank back?
Also, I empty my racor after every use. And frequently after only using 15 gallons I will drain 4-5 oz’s of h2o out of the filter. Would this be a convenient time to drain the tank? I had hoped as the season progressed, the amount of h2o would improve, but it really hasn’t, but engine is running fine (yam efi).
Thanks for the advice.

I had Seels marine upgrade all my hoses.

Use only USCG approved type A1 hose. It is approved for alcohol/ethynol additives.
