Just got back in from a week of fishing in the keys. On the second to last day we ran out fished and came back in for a break and fuel. After refueling at the marina, the motor would not start. The bulb had lost prime. The motor is a yamaha f150. I just hit my 100 hour service mark, so service is now due. There is 100 hours on the yamaha fuel/water separator as well. After repriming the bulb it started and ran fine. The next day we ran out to a reef, and it ran perfect on the way out. We pulled anchor, and it would not start again. I reprimed the bulb, and it started fine. At about 4500 rpm it sputtered for a minute then ran fine. The bulb says vapor lock, but the sputtering leads me to water in the fuel. I run startron all the time and actually overdose it some. Should the fuel water separator cure this one?
Sounds like an air leak in your fuel line. Check all your connections.

There are check balls in either side of bulbs - if one gets hung up the fuel will drain with motor off. Running hard ya may not get the volume needed if something is jammed in the seat.
100 hours isn’t enough to warrant a replacement. Take a look thru both ends and flush onto a clean surface to see what comes out.
Keep a spare in a ziploc with your spare filters.
