putting a new fuel line and bulb on my 2000 OX-66 200hp and the fuel line listed is no longer available. The part number for the hose is 90445-13M01-00. I bought some hose that was similar in size and I can’t get the hose to slide onto the barb on the fuel check valve inside the engine compartment. I tried a little heat, some grease, etc and it would not slide on. I’m thinking the I/D looks close but is just a hair too small to work. Anyone know of a replacement part number of the actual I/D and O/D of the original hose? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

Pitviper,
I don’t know the answers about the specifics of that exact fuel hose, but I have an older 200 Mercury and I’ve had success using the Napa reinforced fuel hoses. I’m assuming with a 200 that your ID has to be around 3/8” like mine, https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NBGH192?keywordInput=fuel+hose+3%2F8%26%23034%3B.
Best of luck
I think you get success when you use Napa reinforced fuel hoses. I don’t know much more about it basically Engine valves are mechanical components used in internal combustion engines to allow or restrict the flow of fluid or gas to and from the combustion chambers or cylinders during engine operation. Functionally, they perform similarly to many other types of valves in that they block or pass flow, however, if you heat them to expend then the valve’s original functionality may be reduced.
LEE; THE ISSUE YOU MENTIONED IS NOT NEW, TRY EXPANDING THE ID OF THE NEW HOSE BY PUSHING THE NOSE OF A PAIR OF NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS INTO THE END OF THE HOSE ( LUBE THE PLIERS SLIGHTLY TO REDUCE FRICTION) , LEAVE THE PLIERS INSERTED IN TUBE TO ALLOW TUBE TO RELAX TO THE STRETCH ,1/2 HR OR SO…WHEN YOU’RE READY TO ATTEMPT ASSEMBLY PULL PLIER HANDLES APART TO INCREASE STRETCH EVEN MORE… WASTE NO TIME IN ATTEMPTING ASSEMBLY… IT SHOULD WORK !!!

I replaced my fuel tank and all the hoses and lines last year. I had the same issue with the ID you are seeing. I was not smart enough to use the needle nose pliers. I did stick a fid in the line and let it sit in the hot sun for an hour or so. About every thirty minutes or so I would twist it in a little harder, pulled the fid out and it slipped right on. Just remember to put the clamp on the line before you shove it on!

Yep needle nose pliers use them as a spreader.
I am fragile.
Not like a flower.
But like a bomb.

Thanks for the ■■■■■■■■ and advice, I will give the pliers trick a whirl and let y’all know what happens!!

A nail set works well also!
use caution “spreading” marine fuel line.
Often the the marine fuel line has a liner inside the outer hose, and stretching it can cause small tears that will leak over time.
That motor should use a standard 9mm fuel line.
