Would like to put one on my boat.
The digital type that gives fuel burn as well as used and most important whats left.
Have any one done this and what do you have and how do you like it.
Also how was it to install.

I have a Northstar F210. Basic features: Fuel remaining, fuel burnt, fuel burn per hour. It was very easy to install and has been suprisingly accurate over the past three years…usually within about 1-2%.
It doesn’t interface with your gps, so no mile per gallon info, but that hasn’t really been an issue. Just remember, it is only as good as the information you give it, so make sure you reset it when you fuel up and also tell it the exact number of gallons you put in. The more you use it, the more accurate it will become.
202 what type of motor do you have? I’m looking at getting the same thing. I have an OX66 and had to turn around last weekend due to thinking I was running out of fuel 42 miles off. I only had 5 extra gallons with me.

I have a lowrance EP-60R tied into my lowrance lms-527c gps/df…
I love it. It gives me gph/mpg/fuel this trip/fuel this season/gallons used/gallons left/and I’m sure there’s more, but that’s what I use regularly. It was easy to install, and it’s easy to read.
It has been dead on as far as accuracy to date. Definitely one of my most valued upgrades to my boat (right up there with the curtains and the outrigger arch). If my next boat doesn’t have one, I’ll definitely be adding it.
Happy boatin’ y’all!!
second on lowrance ep-60. I have those along with the lmf 400. Easy to install and if you have a compatible lowrance GPS it will give you MPG also, along with GPH, fuel used, fuel remaining and range
Thanks guys.
Loop, I have a Johnson 140 4 stroke.
I have a garmin GPS so I guess the EP-60 is out, I wonder if my 188c has a fuel mgt screen I don’t think so.
The North star what can I expect to pay for such?
Hey next time wave at me with all your fingers.
I put a Navman in my Triton five years ago and love it. It has been within 5 gallons on fill every time (150 gallon tank). If you have a newer Lowrance unit the flow sensor is a simple ungrade and only requires 1 cable and installation of the sensor in the fuel line. That’s what I did on my scout where I installed my 525. I think that “ALL” fuel gauges lie and I won’t be caught without it next time.

I have a Northstar on my boat but I’ve never even tried to mess with it. I need to play around with it but I have to figure out how to drive it first.
