I have a 12 gallon plastic tank in my boat and when I pump the bulb I can never get it to firm up like it should. It sounds like it’s bubbling down in the tank when I pump it. I can hook the hose to my little tank in my Jon boat and it pumps right up firm like it should. I have had the problem of it not getting firm since June and the motor runs fine it just seems weird it will not get firm. It also take the motor a little longer to start than if I hook it to the small tank. It runs fine all day once it’s going. Does this sound like the withdrawal on the tank could be the issue?

Sounds like a pin hole that will probably get worse or a loose connection. Check the connections at the back of the primer bulb and where you connect to the tank. Try pumping it up with the tank cap loose just in case the big tank is somehow not letting air into itself. If it is a pinhole, sooner or later the motor will starve out for gas and not start up until you get the pinhole fixed. Been there, seen that, messed up a whole tournament day because of a pinhole in the primer bulb. Your problem sounds like it is between the primer bulb and the gas in the big tank.
Had a pinhole about an inch behind the primer bulb. Thanks!
