Any one got any better ideas than lugging five gallon cans? The rolling fuel tanks with hose aren’t always good since they are gravity fed and you have to fill them also.
I use 5 gal cans when the boat is on the lift but the better way… I use the 28 gal gas caddy sitting on the pier head and pull the boat up to pier head it at low tide and gravity fill pretty quick that way

Fuel dock?
Scout, if you find a better way… please share. I have brainstormed before but haven’t come up with anything better and worth it.
Only thing i could think of would be some type of metal/plastic drum, strapped to a upright dolley, with a hand crank pump…that would take a lot of time, effort, and $$$.
Google flo fast system, says it pumps up to 12 feet at 5 gallons per minute. 15 gallon tank.
i have seen a trailer with 90 gallon tank and battery operated fuel transfer pump. looks like it worked pretty good.

No problem, I have a 29 gallon plastic tank on wheels ( Boaters World), Northern Tool also sell them. Just wheel it down the pier, lower Bote lift and dump fuel, repeat as necessary.
Additionally I rigged a 65 gallon alluminum bote tank that I leave in back of truck and refill the 29 gallon on Wheels as needed.
My 23 Regulator, 250 F Yammy burns 90 a day offshore, so basically three loads of fuel, gravity works fine for me, also I rigged mine with quick release fuel fittings and longer 12’ hose, handy to remove hose from tank while moving because it kinda tangles up easy.
I have done this for years with no problems, My Awendaw lift has plenty of travel to accomplish gravity needed, occasionally have to work around some really high tides, my Lake Murray lift can be more challenging getting gravity if the Lake is running full pool and occasionally I had to elevate the tank to get the bottom half of fuel to drain.
No need for the pump, just something else to mess with. And its nice gettin Non E fuel when you want it, not to mention non Marina prices.
we use (3) 55 gal plastic drums to fill my bertram at the dock, built a wooden wedge ramp to roll them off the truck and roll them down the dock and use gravity at low tide has works well! we get gas in upstate some times for $2.89 gal just hope DOT dosnt get me!
