Just talked to Ryan. They got to Isla this morning at 9. Cleared customs and got the golf cart and went to the store. Left the dock to go fishing at 2. Went 12 for 28 before they came home. Wish that I was there.

Sireks they were sailfish. Isla is pretty much all sailfishing this time of year. Skineej, it was only Little Bill and my Dad in the cockpit. 4 rods and two anglers makes is hard to have any decent ratio. Scootin, we do have some open dates in Feb. Feb has been good fishing for the last couple of years.

You get dozens and dozens of shots at sailfish each day. Great place to go learn how to circle hook billfish or hone your skills if you are already a pro. (hence the reason they boat is there.)
I would LOVE to be there as well but can not get away from work. Talked to JW the other day. Sounds like airfare to Cancun is very reasonable and the place the crew is staying is less than $60 a night.

Isla Mujeres is the Mexican version of God’s Country. If you’ve got the coin, I highly recommend it.
