Full Pull / All Rise team up 31-Mar (lots of pics)

Chunky, Lns Marine, Pallet and myself have been working since January to get the All Rise ready for trolling season, new electronics, power, tackle you name it. Well Tuesday was going to be the big day to splash her down and try some early season trolling! Then…

The phone rang, JW from Full Pull called said he had 4 spots for a day of fun fishing on his boat. Well the decision was tough, take his 57 foot long 18 foot beam 46,000 pound Sporty or our 31 contender. Hmmm… Well less than a microsecond later and with the excitement of a kid at Christmas we canceled the All Rise trip to go with the BIG BOYS!!

Left Greenville at 9 Monday night, to Manning by 12, Lns is at Dads by 2:30am, city police pulls us do to alittle tale wind at 3:imp:, at the dock ready to roll at 4:15am. Casted off at 4:45 and headed toward the hole.

We were greeted with a beautiful ocean and it stayed that way all day. Could not have asked for much better. I caught up on some sleep on a very comfortable bed for the ride out. Lines in at 7:15.
The bite was steady but not on fire. We picked at them all day but never had the big multiple tuna knockdown that we were hoping for.

JW, Captain Ed, and the rest of the crew are truly first class top notch guys. Needless to say JW runs his spread a bit different than we were accustom to. I learned a TON of new techniques yesterday that I look forward to trying out.

Lines in at 3:15.

Ended the day with
Meat fish slam
6 Blackfin (biggest just shy of #25)
1 Dolphin
1 Wahoo #33

and trash fish slam
6 AJs
4 Bonitas
1 Cuda

Highlights (to many to count)

Fishing with JW and Captain Ed was a blast. You will not find a bunch of better guys to fish with. Very knowledgeable and very fun.

JWs killer sushi recipe. I have never tasted BFT like he prepared it.

Watching Roland Martin bass fish on the satellite TV while we tuna fished.

Totally being spoiled by the boat. It is going to be HARD to get back into a cc.

Being part of numerous "Full Pulls

Cool action shot with that AJ.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

That boat is awesome!! I tried to pass on some pro driving tips to Captain Ed on how to properly vent a prop Contender style but for some reason was not to interested in my proposal.:smiley:

Enjoyed fishing with all of you yesterday. Hopefully we can all catch up again soon.

looks like special thanks are in order for the planer…

Dang obsession, I didn’t know you drank beer while fishing.

What was the bud-light count for the day?

Congratz on the tunas, and thanks for the steaks.

Swamp,
They fish a lot of Senators on that boat so don’t be fooled into thinking the planer rod catches anything. It pretty much just takes up space and gives you something to lean on while releasing used beer back into the ocean.

That looked like a signature BG planer set up to me.

<sigh>

Phin, the beverage of choice on the Full Pull is not Budlight. Just because Pallet and 2 others that I will not mention drank 2.5 cases does not mean that it is the beverage of choice. The Full Pull has a standard that is enforced by JW on beverage choice but I am not going to provide that information on line as it is a competitive advantage to him. But I will encourage you to contact JW. http://www.fullpullsportfishing.com/

Book a charter with them, tell Captain Ed and JW of your terrible bottom fishing addiction, tell them that you are loosing your prise grounds, they can help, they will help. They will teach you the ways of the tuna and wahoo, they will show you how to run a spread, most importantly they will show you how to relax and have a good time yet still smoke the fish. No anchor dragging, no cut squid, and no more 60 mile trips offshore in 19 foot boats. These guys will show you the light and once you see it you will not be able to turn back. Life IS better on the other side my friend, put the baja special down and come with us.:smiley:

In all seriousness these guys are very good and I was glad to get to tag along. JW, Captain Ed and Aggressor Mike are all good buddies, but I sense that the title for the top tuna charter boat may be challenged this year. Not trying to take away anything from the Aggressor but keep an eye on the Full Pull.

We had a great time! I sent you a PM, we all need together and drink a few more when some of us don’t have to drive back to the upstate and work the next morning.

We had JW’s sesame tuna recipe last night for supper it was pretty strong too!! Not as good as the sashimi but on a scale of 1 to 10 it got a solid 9.5.

Yea, I forgot about the AJ sushi idea, that would have been a great pic. We will talk him into it next time.

Here is another picture I found in my collection that is growing on me.
