Fun Saturday

Son brought three friends from school, all first timers, for the weekend. Rounded out the crew with an old high school friend who has fished a lot and the wife making her once a year trip. Made our customary gentleman’s start of 5:30, heading a little south to catch an eddy that looked a lot like where we caught fish the week before. Put lines in as soon as the temp bumped in 180ft and hooked up before lines were fully set. Worked a couple of loose weed lines around 200 for most of the morning in the green water with pretty steady bite until noon. Pushed out to a tight weed line in 400 ft in the blue water and then back to 200 with pretty steady bite. Ocean laid down during the day. Ended up with 15 but much better quality fish than last week, all legit gaffers except one. Saw big hammerhead, giant ray, turtles and mammal dolphin. One newbie got seasick but the other two fished hard all day and are hooked now. Even had to dip into the emergency case for the first time this season. Really fun day on a beautiful ocean.

This is only photo I can get to load from iPad. Keep getting error saying wrong file format or too large.

Much better fish than last week for sure!

Really good size to those beauties. Used magic basting formula on bar-b-qued fillets - friend tasted it, smiled and remarked…“white steak”.

Gotta resize to 800x600 or less. Site no longer auto renders big files.
