Fun trip 3/24

I decided to burn a day off today and take my son and his buddy fishing. We hit the water about 2:30 on the incoming tide, although there was not much of a water flow today with a 5.1 high tide. They fished mud-minnows while I fished a mirrodine. I managed one small trout. They caught 3 trout one redfish and two flounder. We only had about two hours to fish, but had a blast and the weather was beautiful. One piece of advice I will give for anyone heading out tomorrow. Bring something for the gnats. Winds are supposed to be 5-10 and that will not keep them away. I left my spray in the truck and that was a bad move. I think I need about a pint of blood.

Walked my dogs down the dock and felt bad for them they were both pawwing at there eyes because the nats were so vicious. I use to see like one ball a nats by my house now I see them every where. When you pass them its game over your bit a hundred times.

Nice report. What river/area were you fishing?

Sounds like an afternoon well spent Andy!
