Fun Trip Thursday Evening

A buddy has his 2 grandsons in town, so we went out in both boats and did a little trolling trip with them, my youngest grandson and a couple of their friends.

Started out a little shaky as the wind started blowing just before we headed out about 7:30. You know it’s blowing pretty good when it’s white capping with a southerly wind. Made it real hard to control the boat speed at first, but eventually calmed down and turned into a beautiful evening and was flat by the time we hung it up about 10.

No state records were broken, but we wound up with 15 smallish fish and they had a good time.

Hoping to get them back out this weekend, but now they they caught some, I will just bring a couple of light spinning rods with 6 lb test and let them fight some fish on them.

All were caught suspended in the river channel trolling 60-70’ down.

Looks like a good time was had by all!
