if you cant find lye soap at grocery stores ask your local hardware store to get it - borax should be at dollar general or family dollar

To get blood out get the clothing in a bucket of cold water fast. I had one of my fav t shirts totally covered in blood and I put it in cold water probably 45 minutes later. Let it sit for a day, pulled it out, squeezed the water out, put it in a fresh bucket of cold water then washed it in the washer with cold water the following day. Took it out and good as new!

murphys oil soap…yes…the kind made for floors and such …takes stains and grease out of clothes…even blood…rub some on and toss in the washer…also…I buy the liquid spic and span (16 0z)which you can get at the DOLLAR TREE for you guessed it $1.00 and it comes in 5 scents…removes stains and smell…I have to leave my fishing clothes in the garage or I get fussed at:frowning_face:…well [:I]I guess I did leave a set in a plastic bag in his truck once (after going crabbbing and fishing with my dad)…on a hot summer day…with the windows up…and they werent found until the next afternoon…[:0].I swear…it was a accident!!!

Thanks penfish. I can’t find the post but recently there was a pic of a guy wearing some Ludens foul weather bibs. I was like, that’s it!!! That will keep the fish guts off me!!! Of course I know Ludens went out of business but some place has got to have them!!!
