My wife and I took the yaks out for a paddle on our anniversary Saturday. She was a little ahead of me to my left. We were noticing a lot of large mullet doing their leaping thing. I notice one ahead and I say “look at that one, its coming toward us”. Next leap, it hangs in slow motion, and lands right in her footwell! [:0]
She let out a school-girl squeal and started kicking and commotion and eventually flicked it out with a paddle.
I laughed so hard I almost fell out

That is too funny. I’m taking my wife camping on Edisto this week and renting her a kayak since she’s been interested in kayak fishing lately. Not sure if I want to share this one before or after the afternoon paddle. Thanks.

First, actually this was in Edisto…You should tell her, she’ll prob get a kick out of it…I mean, what are the odds?
BTW it was about a 2.5#er, good size! When you fish, I’d recommend just trolling grubs around some of the creeks. I have done pretty well this way. When you get a fish, stop and cast there. Have fun in Gods country.
