Furuno sonar transducer

Had a real sloppy trip this past weekend and tore off my transducer for a Furuno NavNet RDP-139. Does anyone know if a new transducer can be spliced onto the current wire? Any recommendations on a place to purchase online?

Better off signal strength wise to use old t-ducer cable (if still there) to pull the new one thru that will be attached to new t-ducer. One can splice the two wires together but not normally recommended.

I talked to Furuno, when I installed my sonar, they said that you can not splice the cables. The shielding will be exposed and you will not be able to get rid of the noise and the signal will be reduced at the junction. Call them and they can probably lead you to a dealer that has one in stock.

I did call Furuno and they gave me the correct part #, or atleast I certainly hope so since there are many to choose from. Thanks for your help.
