On Friday, May 22, 2015, The Fishing Rights Alliance (The FRA) filed a lawsuit in the US District Court in Tampa seeking protection from the effects of the illegal actions taken by Dr. Roy Crabtree, Southeast Regional Director of the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Secretary of Commerce regarding Amendment 40, known as sector separation.

Amendment 40 has been ten years in the making and has been spearheaded by the radical group, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). Over $50 million dollars has been spent by investors to privatize the recreational fishery. Once privatized, the investors aim to take ownership of the ?shares? of that fishery, then rent those ?shares? out each year, in perpetuity. You will pay investors to catch your fish. Amendment 40 has been passed despite the FRA warning of illegal activity. We have to stop Amendment 40. Read the full lawsuit here.
Help The FRA un-do a law that has been put in place illegally. Take back your recreational fishing rights. Donate $10 today and help us fight for what is ours.

Thank you to FRA Legal Counsel, Craig Berman, Berman Law Firm, P.A., for putting so much time and effort into this lawsuit and committing to continue the fight. A special thanks to Captain Tom Hilton, Jack Hexter and Kurt Theodore for their critical roles in this lawsuit.
