G. Loomis Push Pole

I have a 21’ G. Loomis push pole and use the spike end as a shallow water anchor. Today when I pulled the pole out of the mud, the spike end disconnected from the pole and I lost it to the sea gods.

G. Loomis has discontinued sale of its push poles and parts. Does anyone know where I can buy G. Loomis push pole accessories or know of any other brands that have spike ends with stainless steel tips that will fit the G. Loomis pole?

If you can’t find one, you may find a machine shop that could make you one out of aluminum.

My guess is a stiffy point will 5200 in the end of the g loom pole. Dia. Should be very close. Other makes out there that may be cheaper.

Loomis hasn’t made push poles in years. I had one that got stolen from another guide and it was never replaced.

Thanks guys. Wando, I looked at Stiffy’s website and it seems they offer a different spike for each of their pole styles. Leads me to believe each pole style has a different diameter.

I’ll sit tight for another day or two and see if anyone gives a “know from experience” answer. If not, I’ll order the standard Stiffy spike. Hope they have a return policy if it doesn’t work…

I’ve got a 1- 1/4" plastic well point you can have. I am sure it can be fiberglassed together. George 795-0974
