I have trouble keeping face mask up… this might help others also…
The Gaiters sure don’t do any harm, I guess if they give you a “feel Good” go for it. I had one on back in July and the store owner said if I didn’t double it I couldn’t shop. ? Now, I don’t wear anything and if not allowed in a store I don’t do business there. No masks stop air born virus. This Corona crap has certainly done wonders for the mask Companies. Hind sight, a large investment back at the first of the year in toilet paper, masks, gaiters, and many other things could have been quit lucrative. No doubt many in the Government and in the “know” have made millions on this Messed up virus. I’ve seldom wear contacts anymore and I’ve yet to had any sort of face covering that doesn’t fog up my glasses.
Not trying to be a jerk on this DRmajor. No doubt face covering out in the bright sunlight and being reflected off the water is better than all that UV light mutating skin cells. They have their purpose. Virus protection isn’t it.

A little info that may help you better understand the recommendations of face coverings during the pandemic. The SARS-cov2 virus spreads from one individual to another encapsulated in water droplets exhaled from the lung, not as a free-standing isolate virus. Masks and face-coverings have been documented by many studies to block the passage of the virus-containing droplets from individual to individual. If the virus spread as individual viral isolate then the cloth face coverings would not work, but this is not the case. So, masks, even gaiters, work to block transmission of the virus between individuals. By not wearing a face covering in public areas, you are risking the health of OTHERS. Hopefully, this clears up the confusion for you.
Why is it that we are wearing masks for covid and not the flu?
If the flu has been around for a long time and noone was asked to wear a mask only to cough into your elbow, what’s the difference?
