Fished deep and down south today with a charter. There was very good billfishing to be had down there, but the charter wanted to come inshore and try and catch dolphin. We caught a white marlin first thing this morning and a dolphin out deep. Came inshore and caught 4 more dolphin and a nice king. The ocean was very calm and the storms were 5 miles off the beach on the way out and the way in.
For the next couple of days the billfish should be good down south.
Hopefully the charter from today will send me some better pictures of the white marlin.
Gameday thanks for opening the door coming back thru the rocks, I was in the center console running behind you. That was some nasty wind and rain when we rolled past Sullivans and the forts. I noticed that all the crew left you on the bridge when we hit that area. I will be moving a 28’ Bertram “YO-YO” in the slip next to you. Look forward to meeting you. Congrats on the billfish. You seem to have things tuned in!!
BRAD and JOE,we sure enjoyed the trip on the 7th been eating good ever since.Sure was a smooth riding boat you have,I have changed my wish list to a ALEX WILLIS now. good luck fishing BRIAN
Those dropper rigs on your squids look nice- the first time you get tangled up on them you will curse them. Ole whitey will jump right past your boat and all up in that stuff too.
George Carlin said it best, ‘Think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize that half of them are stupider than that’’.
Hey, I was wondering what the fishing nearshore on the reefs and jetties for kings is like right now. Could you or anyone give me some tips or info on what to use for kings as of right now?
