i’m used to seeing gar while bass fishing, but if i am starting to see a lot in the area should i move to a new spot? today oa murray i saw 6 in a little cove i was in, i also didn’t catch any fish or get any bites in that cove.
If they are hanging out in the deeper water, 20-30 from the shoreline, you should be ok. If the are cruising around the grass edges, look elsewhere. That’s just my opinion. Yeah, Yeah, I know what they say about opinions!!!
Excuses? I’ve heard them all!
need more bowfishers out there gars are fun to kill!
never had any luck fishing aound them either!
you and me going fishin in the dark
from a bowfishermans perspective… gar hang close to baitfish…while bowfishing if you see a school of baitfish there WILL be a gar or group of gar very close by… i dont know how many gar we shoot that have little fish in there mouth… so i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing
Saw the same thing during my tournment Tues night. Only ■■■■ thing i caught too.
i will definitely be getting one of those arrows for bowfishing next time i am at sportsmans’ warehouse. i could have cleaned house.
