Garage pit vs Lift

Drill Press, good parts washer, lots of shelves, Steel work table with a big vice attached, and absorbent/pig mats.

Starrett granite surface plate

I love spending other people’s money

Chain hoist
Alarm system
Torches
Welder
Tire changer/balancer
Chop saw
Air hose and cord reels
Electric garage doors
Exhaust fan

Plenty of, rough service, light bulbs, for your drop lights!

Man that’s old school!!! Good Bright LED overhead lights, a bright Painted floor, and some good mag mounted flashlights.

We have new LED lighting in the shop. I guess Old Habits are hard to break. Harder than a light bulb, anyway… :slightly_smiling_face:

Anybody use one of these on a 4 post lift? Looking at one rated at 9,000 lbs.

Just for fun, I got an estimate on a commercial grade 20’ Pit…over $30k. But man it would be super cool.

I won’t do this, but talk about building the ultimate man garage!

Never seen one like that. You going to use it to fix up that old Ford or the GMC?
This is the Play/race shop, ac/heat only worked marginal till we added the Long Diffuser. Will keep a constant 68 in summer and right now it is holding a set 76 without cycling a whole lot using a 3 1/2 ton unit.

This is not mine… Just work in it from time to time.
