Caught two Kings, no Mahi and NO Cuda’s. Quite rough, the forecast 2-3 was really 3-4!No bad coming in on the S winds.
Thanks for the report - from what I am reading in this forum the Mahi bite has slowed down. Anyone know if this is typical for this time of year?

The old salts will tell you the Mahi bite around here is typically Mothers day to Fathers day. Not that the fish give a chit about the calendar but if you wanted to guess timeframe wise its about as good of a reference you can use.
I say yes it’s typical,but you can’t catch-um at the house!!May-June are best.
It’s the water temps moreso than the calendar. We had a cold winter, and then it got very hot very fast this year.

I have read that for Mahi there is a south to north spring migration and a north to south fall migration. Anyone have experience to say there is a good mahi bite in the fall? Phin - what is the water temp range you like?

Worst dolphin bite I can remember in the last 15 years. We caught 15 studs third weekend in July last year. Phin is dead on. This has been a terrible weather year.
