i am planning on Santa getting me a garmin 441 gps/sounder combo unit for my boat. also might consider marine stereo and speakers. would like them to be professionally installed, any recommendations as to who does quality inexpensive work like that. thanks

whoever does it…see if they can use a small block/puck of some sort (we used Starboard with champhered edges) This way if you ever replace your unit, you’ll drill into the puck again- rather in the dash.

You will like that 441, I got one about a year ago. My only regret is that it is not a 541 (bigger screen).
Quality but inexpensive will be hard to find. I have people all the time want me to do high quality installation and fab work but then freak out at the cost of labor. It takes time to do high quality.
But what you are wanting to install, just about anyone should be able to do that with out any issues, depending on your boat that is. Running speaker wire, depending on where you want them and the boat, can sometimes be a pain.
