Just bought a 430s and love it!! Great unit. Also purchased one of those vision g2 cards for it. Anybody use them before? What can i expect? Worth it?
I just bought a 441s along with the G2 card. I have played around with it a little. It seems pretty cool but since I have never had a marine GPS unit, don’t really know how good it is since I can’t compare it to anything previously. The 3D feature is pretty cool. Did you buy it in time to get the $200 rebate? That was the only reason I bought it. Have fun.

Good deal, I have seen some killer prices on G2 cards on Ebay but didn’t know if they we legit or not.

I have this unit and the card . I use mine 30 35 miles off shore and works very well . ALSO HAVE XM NEX RADOR works excellent . You have to have antena for that and subscribs to that . The bottom machine works well but seen better .Garmin is very friendly user It is very acurate machine may want to put externa antenna on for QUICKER UPDATE.

Do you know what the difference is between the 430 and the 440? Been looking on ebay myself and saw a 431s for 372.00. Looks like a pretty good deal.

I think one comes preloaded with inland maps like lakes and rivers (430) and the other has coastal maps (440). Double check by going to the Garmin website.
Yes, DF is correct. I need some SERIOUS garmin help!!? Found some old loran coord. and want to convert to gps. Our units have loran ability built in so I switch modes and it says R-14 is like 2000miles away? Anybody ever done this or know how to set it up? There were a lot of choices for loran that I dont know sh t about!! Dont know much about gps but i’m learning:smiley:
