I’ve got a new 547 and have a question for anyone that knows more than I do, which will be all of you! I used to have a Garmin GPSmap 168, that came with a hook-up that allowed you to plug the unit into a wall socket in the house. It made inputting routs and waypoints and coordinates really easy. You could sit on the couch and do it, then just put the unit on the boat! Does Garmin have anything like that still available? I can’t find anything. If not, I guess I’ll have to put all the settings and stuff in while the unit is mounted on the boat! Any, help will be appreciated!
I know it sounds hillbilly but I bought another cord off ebay (15$ or so) and use my battery jump pack to power it up. You could find a small 12v power supply if you don’t have a jump pack.

Thanks Matt! I just looked at the cord hook-up on the back of the unit and I guess all I need is the power cord! It says Power/NEMA and I don’t really need NEMA to input data such as coordinates, routes, settings and stuff like that, do I? I do have 2 batteries in the garage on charge I could hook to! The 12 volt power supply sounds good, cause I like the idea of sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee:wink: The Garmin web site does offer cords!
