Garmin kraken 75 inch install/ with rail cut out

Hope this helps someone with an older boat with boat railing that are having trouble are looking for a way to install a trolling motor without cutting all the rails off… I’ll try to send some pics…if I can get by the error?

Note::: after cutting a section of rail ,put swing hinge on and mark over lap and the hard part starts is cutting ( t )on bottom of tubing and basically buttflying it to fit over tubing and drilling a hole for pin

Nice work! Thanks for posting!

Now let’s go fishing!!

Last thing, my rail tubing was 7/8 urs might be 1 inch? Measure it. As rail might be under tension and u might have to straighten by using a slightly bigger tube over it to pull/bent into alignment, I did, I used a vice and a socket once I got butterfly started and a square piece of metal in vice to beat sides flat to get it flush to overlap tubing before drilling in steps ( bit sizes) to 1/4 inch for pins which are Bimini top sizes on pins

Dude I just had to share how I did it after finding not much on the subject or crapping ways of doing it that look like junk, lol! We going soon, I just wanted to help someone save the time trying to figure it out without cutting their whole rail off a boat and end up falling over like us old people would without a rail to grab , I’m looking forward to not using a dang anchor anymore

That’s a great way to get around that rail problem, way better than cutting out a big section.

I had a sea pro once that I had to cut a big section out, I like your idea way more.

Good stuff

Looks great! Thank you for sharing; someone will certainly appreciate that.
