I bought a Garmin 441s 4 years ago. I am wondering if it is time to update maps, etc…? If so, what is the procedure for this, what does it cost and is it worth it?
Has anyone here updated a Garmin device recently? If so, I would appreciate you sharing your experience.

D , I think it is free according to the update site I looked at, I found an interesting read with pics .I don’t know if it applies to yours or not ;
They are pretty easy to update. All you need is an sd card and follow the instructions on on the garmin site. Its free.
If you have troubles, let me know and maybe I can walk you through it. I can maybe make a yoytube video.

3rd selection down is the one you want. Follow the instructions and you should be good. Just an fyi, its not updating the maps, just firmware. I noticed the gps would acquire signal quicker after the update.
