Garris is USFWS. looks like closest landing to north end of capers? anybody know if overnight parking allowed there for trailers? trying to plan trip in 2 wks and figure if there or IOP marina is best. Aware IOP has fees. thanks for any info, our guy in chas is apparently an invalid and cant scout or figure this out.
Don’t think you can park overnight at Garris.
When we go there for the weekend, we park at IOP and pay the fees.

Camped at Capers last weekend. Parked and paid at IOP.
Its been a while but in the past several people that live near Garris landing on Mossey Grove lane would let you park your car and trailer on their property for a fee. However you would need to talk to them in person first. Not something to try to accomplish on day of departure. Have your Charleston based friend ride up there and confirm location and price in advance. They will have to knock on doors and perhaps look for other rigs that have obviously been left overnight. You could also contact the Cape Romain folks and ask them for the peoples contact info. Sarah Dawsey is the manager of the refuge.
Use IOP launch or Buck Hall. Buck Hall cheaper and not a bad ride down the waterway; 5 miles??? maybe a little more but not bad
