ok i been having problems with my motor the last days.i pumped the ball, crunk it up and put it in forward position.so as i was moving in forward i gave it gas and it stalled out.ok i crunk it again and had the gas all the way down but it was moving slow.after that it never crunk again. so i figured i have a fuel problem.so today as i was working on the boat i finally got it running again.it would run for about 30sec to a minute then cut off.then happen to notice the ball was soft again.could it be that the pump ball is no good and need replaced or should i just get a whole new fuel pump kit and carburator kit and the pump???![]()
crunk?
What you mean crunk localdude??
What is a crunk?
It is cool and funny to use crunk instead of crank?
Primer bulbs do go bad and they are the cheap and easy to replace. I have had issues caused by bad ones until I switched to a yamaha bulb after a recommendation from a mechanic. Your problem sounds like a carb issue, but I would change the bulb first and try it just since there is a chance that is the problem.

I had to fix the grammar so I could read it.
There are many possible causes for your problem.
Fuel delivery?
Ignition?
Binding drive train?
If your fuel bulb gets firm when you pump it, then it is likely OK. All it has to do is get fuel into the motor’s fuel pump/carbs. The motor then pulls a vacuum when it cranks and sucks fuel through the bulb. When running the suction would actual tend to collapse the bulb. It is conceivable that you might have trash in the bulb clogging it up, but, … not very likely.
A few questions.
Manufacturer and year of motor?
How old is your fuel?
How long since your carbs were cleaned/rebuilt?
How long since your fuel/water separator filter was changed?
How long since the plugs were replaced?
How long since your fuel pump (not the squeeze bulb) was rebuilt?
Has any other work been done on the fuel or ignition recently?

,actually PalmerScott I just bought it last week and it was running like a pro everyday until saturday.I really dont know if that dude had the fuel/water seperator cleaned but i did take the carbs off myself and cleaned them.that did get it to start running again.I doubt if he had anything else done.it will not stay running now for over 30 secs.so i will try a new squeeze bulb tomorrow and change the plugs then take any next steps after that. Thanks PalmerScott…I will go work on my GRRRRAAAMMMAAARRR now !!! ![]()

f your fuel bulb gets firm when you pump it, then it is likely OK.
Spent about $1k a few years back to find out the bulb was deteriorating inside and clogging the outlet. Looked good, felt supple, went soft and engine cut out after about 45 sec. I now change line and bulb every three years, or so … ![]()
