Gas Tank size? Math problem??

OK so i determined that my gas tank is 4 feet(48 inches)long 12 inces wide, and 6 inches tall. So what the hell is the volume in gallons of my gas tank in my flats boat??? I was a history major not math! Thanks

I’m an engineer, perhaps I can help.

48 inches x 12 inches x 6 inches = 3456 cubic inches
1 gallon = 231 cubic inches
3456 cubic inches = 14.96 gallons
