Gator FIshing

I dont quite know if this is the right form to post this, but Ill give it a try: My bowfishing buddies from the upstate pulled a south coastal gator tag and visited me this weekend to do some scouting. Friday night we put in at Joes Fish Camp in the Ashepoo and ventured way up both the Ashepoo and horseshoe creek. Saw several small lizards (1-4) and may have seen the wake of a monster swimming underwater, but never saw him. Last night, went up the north stem of the Edisto, put in at Messervey Landing, again saw many littleuns but nothing of any size. Wanted to know if it was the heat, the area, or our lack of staying sober to sight the 10+er. Any insight or wisdom?

Well, i guess this is not the right place for this post.

seen a few 8+ers out in Bushy Park today back in Yellow House

Yeah, i wish the tag was for this area, but the Edisto and west is where our hunting will take place. Thanks
