Grabbed an hour to fish as tides were good. Kept an eye on a gator that was hanging about, unfortunately I couldn’t get this smallish Redfish in quick enough and the Gator stole it. Lay with the fish in its mouth for about 90 seconds then swam of with it breaking my line.
What do you think the mortality rate on that one was?

Not sure if stressed covers it, i think dead is a little more accurate.
I tried to encourage the gator to keep conservation in mind and catch and release, he managed to get the first part down pretty good, but kinda messed up on the second part…but what ya gonna do, peanut sized primordial brain may take a bit more training that my pitty/Boxer mix.
Hope the gator doesn’t get your dog!
