I’ve heard my boys talk about it but it wasn’t until this morning that I saw an 8’gator hanging out by the dock near the top of OGC.
How can we get rid of it? The kids and dogs swim in here all the time.
Tell everyone where it’s at in the gator tag forum, sure someone will fill there tag haha
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

I would prefer the shoot, grill, and shut up approach. That tail meat can be pretty good. If this thread is deleted tomorrow, I will be expecting an invite for the gater roast.

DNR won’t get rid of it. They’ll issue you a nuisance gator tag to get rid of it and give you a list of guys that will charge you to get rid of it. Get the nuisance tag and have some fun, as well as a few good meals.
IF you get the tag I will come help you get him. But the thing to remember is that when you remove a big dominate gator like that you often open up the habitat for many smaller gators to move in.
Three-fourths of the Earth’s surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
Well - got the call back from DNR. Our civic org is going to get a tag as you guys predicted. I should have it in the mail this week. This could get interesting!
