Justin, I went to that area over the summer as well. If you’ll believe it, we were on a grass flat standing up lookin, and their were 2 trout bigger than that in the water. Saw some nice looking redfish around the trout, caught one of the reds that were smaller than the trout and it was 25"! Also saw a snook along the groves. Amazing fishery for sure. I’m gonna plan a trip for a week or two down there in June/July

I have no doubt. I actually thought that that fish was a red. We had a bad approaching store with winds gusting around 20 knots and I saw the tail of the fish as it was digging into the grass. It popped up for a second and I pitched to what I thought was a decent red. It ate and when I set the hook I couldn’t believe what I saw when that fish jumped out of the water. We saw a couple of other trout tailing the next day including one that had a tail on it that made that guy look small.
