Gauge issue?

Decided to tackle my fuel gauge issue yesterday. It was time for a new sending unit, and sure enough the old one was stuck in the fully down position. Replaced that and the gauge is still reading dead empty. Checked the voltage at the sending unit and its getting power. Checked also at the connectors on the back of the gauge and got a good reading there. Bad gauge?

Check out the link below & thanks to ChrisV for the tip.

Thanks for the link but it says if the gauge stays empty its the sender…I just replaced that. Is it always full reading during the test = gauge and empty reading = sender?

Hehe…so I sort of skipped a line in the instructions. I should have this knocked out tomorrow evening. :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay, so now I am stumped. When I originally put in the new sending unit, I put it in upside down if you will, so I thought once I corrected that the gauge would read correctly. I flipped the unit around today and the gauge still read empty. I redid ChrisV’s test in the link above and the gauge still read empty. Think I got a bad sending unit out of the box?
