Any one hit the GCR latley, last reports I’ve heard a week ago said that water was really low. I figure after all this rain if it was low, its probably up again. If any one has been out there a report would be awesome. Thinkin’ of taking the boat there the next nice weekend for the first time. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.
PS, did some research on here and didn’t find too many reports/discussion recently, maily from years past. And yes, I know there’s a good amount of big gators in there. Thanks
the water is still about 6" low (or was saturday). the rain this week will probably take it back to normal levels. water was about 30" low due to CWS fixing some spots in the dyke. it really messed the fishing up for a month or so, but it’s getting better now. caught 11 keepers saturday and a few small bass, the guy that loaded before me said he had 30 keepers. hope this helps.

Sorry This is a little late , but I have a lot of luck near the first set of houses on the right, across from the apartment complex. It’s a small cove. Lots of crappie and bream have been biting on small crank baits while trolling. I’ve also hit two large 10 pound plus Gars around the power lines.
