Looking to come down next weekend. I have been a member for some time, but I still don’t have a clue. The wife and I will be working from a 20’ bay boat. We usually go around the bulls bay area due to the fact that we are somewhat familiar due to shrimping, but other area suggestions will be apreciated. I would love to catch something…shark, red, trout, sheep, or other that eats a hook. I would appreciate any tips…under docks with minnow, shrimp, plastic…trolling on the bottom with minnow, shrimp, or plastic…casting at oyster banks with the same…Jetties with …
Anything the team could provide for help will be much appreciated.
Thanks Ken
find a deep hole near an inlet, drop down some menhaden and hang on. sharks everywhere
Thanks Dock. I know where one is.
Greatly appreciate the input.
Look for shallow flats on the main river that have structure on them. A big flat with big oyster beds that have some current flowing over them at high tide near a drain or feeder creek will always hold reds. Reds will not venture very far from a flat. As soon as they can get in the grass, they will, so I prefer fishing these flats before the tide gets high. Target the slack area just behind the oyster bed and right beside the grass line. If you can put all that together with an early morning low tide, you will not have to look hard for the fish, just sit still and be quiet and you’ll be hooked before the fish are…

Thank you Tigerfin… I have been trying to catch something in salt for several years other than shrimp. The best I have done was a bonnet head. The wife and I are going to try again next weekend. Your guidance and time is greatly appreciated.
