No Pics, I was solo and focused on fishing instead of taking pics. The wife and I headed to the mountains of Georgia for the last few days for some relaxation and trout fishing. I have to thank Scotty at Lowcountry Fly shop first for hooking me up with the necessary provisions before my trip. I got a reddington classic trout rod 5#, line, reel, and a selection of flies. We visited Unicoi outfitters and got some information on locations on our way which proved to be spot on also. The heat has really affected the trout in that area and only a couple rivers are still holding fish. Ended up fishing the Toccoa river just below the Blue Ridge lake (**() and did pretty well. About 20 hook ups and 12 fish to net in a matter of 4 hours. Browns and Rainbows with the largest being about 14".
Thats great man! Ive often thought about taken a tent up to Pisgah National around Brevard and fishing for the entire weekend. I did a rafting trip on the Chattooga and saw plenty of places that I would love to try out. Just got to invest in a 6wt.

I have an 8wt that I think im going to re-rig for 9wt. I want to buy a reel for Carp, bass and to take to the mountains for the rivers. 5,6,7wt im thinking? Im leaning more towards 6-7wt.

For carp you can get by with a 5-6wt… for bass I usually use an 8wt just because of the size of the flies… All you need is a 5wt for bass but go out and try to throw a big deer hair popper with a 5wt My 5wt has 2 reels, one with 5wt for small stuff for bream and trout the other reel has 6wt line on it and I use it for bigger flies/fish.

Bulldog- Do the Pisgah trip, but the real beauty there is ultralight fly fishing in the headwaters for “wild” fish.
Go with a 3wt bulldog, you saw the Sage I have, nothing like it … I can’t wait for some mountain fishing
Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
