About a year ago someone posted exact coordinates to get out of stono inlet into the ocean. I recall there was a zig zag you have to do to avoid breakers. With the dredging and all, can someone tell me the way to get out in my 22 ft bay boat?
1 distinct channel to the north and 1 to the south- both pretty narrow channels- if you aren’t running out in the dark and you can identify breaks in the whitewater as channels you should be fine- i run in/out in dark often and channels have stayed pretty reliable…even at dead low tide
I have been out a few times in the past couple of weeks. I come from the folly ramp and the channel heading to it is well marked but you have to pay attention it zig zags a lil. the inlet itself has a red marker right before it. seems to be pretty easy just watch the breakers and you are fine. I did notice right when you get out there is a northern turn you need to make but that is just me staying in the deepest water I can find.
