Someone posted this picture on facebook. Some think it’s photoshopped, some think it’s real…

If that crab is real, it’s a shame if it went into a pot.

I caught one almost that big in the “concrete pond” at Cherry Grove many years ago. Caught him on a crayfish of all things! Yes, they will get very large.
It’s real, we had a couple of number ones that big last year

Looks real, but the way he’s holding it makes it look that big. It’s still a nice size crab!

correct- big crab no doubt, but perspective helps it look way bigger.
(**()…Can you imagine eating him as a softshell???
That’s a helluva of a blue crab, but he’s definitely putting a bit of a push on it, too.
The first rule of fight club is…
Like to have a bushel of those crabs.

Like the Others I caught some ‘close’ to that size 6o years ago as a boy, but now like fishing, it’s not what it used to be either(crabbing that is).

I’d hate for that thing to get ahold of my finger!
I know that man. He is only 4’11"

I think there is more that size than people might believe. It takes an act of god for a crab that size to make it into the trap

I’ve seen some that big with barnacles on their backs. Just not very common any more. Boy he would mess you up if he got you!!!

That man’s arms are tucked into his sides, he’s not pushing.

What Larry said. I know a “push” when I see it.

A few years back sight netted a few that were land locked in the old shrimp farm on edisto. Pretty close to that size.
They had good claw meat, but they didn’t seem to have that much body meat for their size.
DNR has or had one like that on in a jar on Fort Johnson Rd.

Caught them that size when I crabbed in Maryland
